AJARI
I go to Messmer High School where I am a junior in the class of 2023. I like to watch anime and play video games and also build and work on things that are hands-on. I work with TGG as an agriculture apprentice, this will also be my first year on my apprenticeship, but my second year working for TGG. Some of my short term goals are to save for my first car and to work more in highschool for what I want to do later in the year preceding college. I want to become an engineer and help build my community and help other young men who grew up where I did and help them become something other than a statistic for society.

Hey, my name is Gabie and I’m a High School senior. I was part of the previous summer internship at Teens Grow Greens and since I really enjoyed gardening with others, I applied to join this apprenticeship. Some of my hobbies include reading, drawing, and watching movies. I hope to start a garden at home and grow peppers, among other produce.

My name is Jessie and my favorite memory this year has been the Science Strikes Back event as it was a fun and educational day. What I am looking forward to the most this year is working in the greenhouse this summer. Something I am curious about is our upcoming events. I am passionate about video games but also gardening and shoes. In the future my dream is to become a successful sneakerhead or a professional E-sports player.

My name is Mychal and my favorite memory this year has been the Science Strikes Back event. I am most looking forward to opening Webers and selling plants. I am curious about talking to the interns this year. I am passionate about growing and selling plants and in the future, my dream is to start my own soap business.

My name is Asha and I am a freshman in high school. I graduate in 2026 and I plan to go to college. I really like books and chrysanthemum flowers. This is my first year working for Teens Grow Greens. After college, I plan to build a library inside my house and read books all day. The reason I came to Teens Grow Greens is because I want to improve my communication skills and also to develop new skills in the long run. What I am looking forward to this year is helping customers at Webers and working at the community gardens. One thing I am passionate about is reading different kinds of novels. Be it Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Korean, etc, I really enjoy learning about all the different cultures.

My name is Angel and my favorite memory this year has been getting hired by Teens Grow Greens. What I am looking forward to the most this year is working on my personal goals. I am curious how Teens Grow Greens will help me grow. I am passionate about self development and in the future, my dream is to open my own business.

I will be a freshman at MIAD this fall and this will be my third year at Teens Grow Greens. I love Japanese manga and anime and want to go to college in Japan to study animation. Later in life, I want to work in Japan as an animator and create my own manga. I feel that this art form portrays things so perfectly: their stories always excite me, confuse me, amuse me, and further my thinking. In my personal life, I take a stand for knowledge; I am always looking for ways to further my knowledge and the versatility with which I do things. Manga and anime have helped me do this, as well as strengthen my knowledge and perspective of how I see things.
